London Fashion Week has wrapped and we got to see an exciting glimpse of what the designers have on their minds for the fall seasons. Some chose color and print as there guide, while others used muted tones and focused in details to get their point across. Personally when I think of our neighbors across the pond fashionably I think of beautiful fall coats with a touch of mod inspiration. Here are a few of the collections that I loved the most:
Burberry Prorsum: Christopher Bailey never disappoints me and his coats for fall always leave me salivating and contemplating panhandling. This season I loved the feminine details (bows, peplums, and ruffles!) and the use of classic colors.
ISSA: Oh Issa your 70's style jumpsuits make me want to curl up my Remy and form a soul train line! The prints were fantastic!
ERDEM: Erdem Moralioglu used black rubber with lace details and tweed to create the kind of looks that are both delicate and strong. The bright colors and prints gave the collection youthfulness, and the dresses are perfect for brunch...with your motorcycle gang.
Matthew Williamson: Glamorous furs and shiny leather pants make me happy inside. If I could wear leather pants in every season I would, and Williamson's use of colorful leather makes that almost possible. Though this collection is for fall is vibrancy resonates for all seasons.
Christopher Kane: Deep rich tones and sprinkles of velvet brocade made for an almost vampiric collection. Anything that adds leather instantly wins me over and fur? More please!
