RUNWAY: NYFW Rachel Roy Spring 2012 RTW

Everyday I make it my goal to look well put together.  Not an overly dressed up look, but a look that can go from day to evening if necessary.  Maybe it's a bold necklace or a jazzy blazer that gets me there, my only requirement is that it's a multi-functional addition to my wardrobe.  I think that's why I love the Rachel Roy collection for spring because the looks could be worn at the office, or for a night on the town.  Roy was inspired by "Colonial Vietnam in the twenties and thirties" and "what women from that era would wear from a man's wardrobe" you could see that inspiration in some of the kimono style dresses and silky suit offerings. I loved the short separates the most, especially the ones with the snake trim, but you knew I would :)
Check out the rest of the collection here.
XOXO

  1. Why does RR make pieces I want so badly but can't afford? *sigh* This is a gorgeous collection. I love how clean it is. I need those bright orange pants in my life.
