My new obsession is: Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics!!
I was first introduced to OCC Cosmetics at the NYC IMATS. The product line is free of parabens, preservatives and is 100% Vegan & Cruelty-Free. They have a full line of makeup for the eyes, lips, face and nails, as well as brushes. I love the lip tars and polish! The products come in intensely rich and super saturated colors. Bottom line, these babies are not easily dupable. At a price range of $8.00 for polish and $13 for lip tars there’s really no need to look for dupes! I get a good 7- 10 chipless wear from the polishes and you barely need two coats! Here are a few of my must have summer bright polishes:
From left to right Rx: a rich UV blue, Beta: demi matte neon orange, Anime: glossy day glo pink (My Favorite)Chlorophyll: bright nearly UV teal, Lo fi: creamy light lime green.
Uber: mid tonal taupe, Strumpet: seedless red grape and Trollop: a cranberry coral.
The OCC lip tars come in a whopping 36 super pigmented shades. A tiny bit goes a really, really long way. OCC Lip tars go on feeling like a gloss, yet give the look of matte lipstick and have the longevity of a stain; with a subtle mint flavor. I personally get a good 8 hours of wear without needing to reapply, and only a little bit of fading on the inner lip.
If your anything like me, at first glance of the color range you'll think how in the world can I make these colors work into my daily application. Do not be scared people. Lip Tars were made to inspire creativity. Think of OCC as your make-up paint kit. Let your inner artist flow and create your very own original signature shade like moi! I created this shade using all three lip tars hence the name:
Strumberllop a totally wearable pink!!
FYI OCC Makeup will be opening their very first Flag ship boutique in NYC and will be debuting their newest color collection Pretty Boy F/W 2011. Of course I’m in the market for some new shades. I can’t wait to get my hands on the Queen and Butch Lip Tars, as well as the Cruising and Extravaganza polish!!
P.S. Comment, comment, comment. Let me know what colors you like and what you created. Email me email@example.com with any beauty questions or suggestions of what you might like to read!
