Launched: Nearly Nude Fall 2011

I read somewhere that after a "certain age" a woman should change all of underwear to shapewear.  You know the kind that sucks in and smooths out those parts that stick out.  I love shapewear, but the ones I've tried are too thick for summer time wear.  They usually leave me feeling uncomfortable, hot, and contemplating going commando ( it'll never happen, but I do think about it when my shaper becomes unbearable).
So when I received an email from Factory PR about attending an event for a new brand of shapewear I made it my business to attend.  Designer Lucy Hosken created Nearly Nude back in 2005 in Australia.  This fall she's launching her brand stateside and I couldn't be more excited.  Most great ideas come from lack and Nearly Nude was no different.  Hosken saw that there was a need for shapewear you could wear everyday that was comfortable, but still offered strong support.  I can tell you from the presentation that the pieces are feminine, lightweight, and made of the softest material. There's a black lace slip that I feel in love with that could double as a dress with the right blazer.  The Smoothing Cotton collection is perfect for the summer, the first of it's kind, a cotton based spandex shapewear that won't have you sweating under that sundress.
Can't wait for the launch? Then check out the Nearly Nude website for past collections.  Every woman wants to feel sexy and confident under her clothes, I know I do ;)

P.S.-A big thank you to Sandra Gil at Factory PR for inviting me!
