TopBag: Leather 1973 Small Shoulder Bag by Gucci

The older I get the more I appreciate vintage items. Lately I'm obsessed with vintage handbags or vintage style handbags. If I can't find that perfect piece in my local shop, there's always Gucci (that should be a t-shirt, hmmm) Their latest collection of accessories for Fall is a nod to the handbags of the past. Call them the comeback kids. The classic doctor bag your mom loved. Leather satchels with simple gold hardware. These bags were less about fancy construction and more about quality.
Call me sentimental, but there's something so chic about this collection and its understated designs. The leather 1973 bag caught my eye because of its shape, almost like a vintage camera bag (which I'm on the hunt for as we speak!), plus its olive color is very of the moment with military styling continuing to be very popular. Perfectly paired with riding boots and a flak/safari jacket. If you're lucky your mom still has these bags in her collection awaiting your eventual takeover, niiiiiice. If not well there's always Gucci!

  1. I love this bag! I've always been really into the vintage designer bags. It seems a lot of designers are doing throw backs to some of their most popular designs. Fantastic!
