Hello Beauties,
The new RIRI Loves MAC Summer Collection has had many makeup junkies jumping through hoops to get their hands on it. The iconic RIRI Woo sold out in less than three hours on the MAC website. It rereleased last week with two siblings Heaux and Riri Boy. In addition, there are Luster Drops and a bronzer blush duo, Riri's Habiscus Kiss. I hauled RIRI Woo and and the blush duo.
Both products were in the standard packaging and embossed with Riri's signature. The retro matte formulation is new for MAC and is a little more moisturizing than its standard matte lipsticks.

Honestly Beauties, I was not impressed! Ruby Woo is pretty much a dupe except its a little deeper and has a tad bit more moisture. In sum, theres really no need for it unless your a die hard Rihanna fan. Using either product will inevitably erase the signature . As far as color payoff, the blush bronzer duo was dry and left only traces of color on the skin. For me, this collection left me wanting to "Shoot a man down"!
Hopefully, the next installment of the RiRi collaboration, in the rose gold packaging, coming out this fall for the holidays, will have us singing, Te amo, instead of, Stupid in love!

If you're like me then your accessories change right along with the seasons.  Case in point, in the fall I'm all about oversized black leather bags, if I can fit a small body in it then it’s the perfect size.  But when summer rolls around I allow myself a little fun and experiment with color and sizes.  That's why I'm obsessed with the Furla Baby Candy Satchel.  It's a sophisticated shape in fun transparent colors that goes great with jeans or sundresses. I want it in all colors!  Check out the fun video on Furla website's regarding the bag's metamorphosis or to shop.

Father's Day is here and to celebrate I thought I'd share my top ten most stylish celebrity dads.  When we used to think of Dad he was a jolly round man in ugly sweaters and suspenders, I mean he could pass for Santa when you think about it.  But that Daddy is long gone, replaced by a new sexier Dad, Dad 2.0 who rocks slouchy hats and skinny jeans, boat shoes and slim suits.  These Dads are rivaling their Mom counterparts when it comes to style and I love it! Here are ten of my favs for your viewing pleasure and tell your Dad I said Happy Father’s Day!

1-David Beckham
Scruffy or Sleek, nobody does it better than David Beckham.  I'd like to think that wife Victoria has a hand in his stylish ways, but something tells me that David holds his own.

2-Will Smith
The Fresh Prince gets fresher as he gets older. Will Smith stays on top, his suits, his grooming, his wife!  Yeah he's winning.

3-Brad Pitt
Though I do like Brad with shorter hair (I'm allowed my preference), I love his style! It's both relaxed and tailored, carefree and clean. Perfect

4-Idris Elba
Idris Elba is what I like to think of as a man's man.  He keeps it simple and always looks stylish without trying too hard.

5-Johnny Depp

So Johnny Depp has found the fountain of youth and he ain't sharing with anybody. I mean he just turned 50 years old!  His style is his own, meaning you may find him with two or three scarves wrapped around his neck, but it just works! Dope!

6-Lenny Kravitz
He's a rockstar and the only Dad who looks good in leather pants.  Lenny Kravitz doesn't need to wear shirts, how may Dad's can say that.

7-Jay Z
Though I'm usually gazing at Beyonce, Jay-Z's style is a great mesh of hood and high fashion. He looks just as dope in sneakers as he does in suits.

8- Gavin Rossdale
Only he who is fresh can match the fresh of Gwen Stefani, so it's no surprise that I had to include Gavin Rossdale on my list.  His euro-cool style is the perfect blend of rockstar meets casual. He's been known to rock black nail polish, it doesn't get any cooler than that.

9-Robert Downey Jr
Maybe I'm a bit biased because I like him so much as an actor, but there's just something completely awesome about Robert Downey Jr.  I love his mix of quirky and clean.  He may wear a suit, he may wear a kilt, he keeps em guessing and that's hot!

10-Kanye West
Finally, say what you want about new dad Kanye West's style but he makes a statement.  I've seen more people in leather pants and Jordan's since he started rocking them.  He is indeed a fashion influencer.

Hello Beauties!!! The MAC Temperature Rising Collection Is up for grabs at your nearest makeup counter and it's covered in chocolaty goodness!!!
The bronzed rubberized packaging is beautiful and has a NARS like texture.  I picked up both blushes: Ripe for Love; a rich peachy coral and Hot Nights a dark pinky berry. Both are super pigmented and would look amazing on darker skin tones but with a light hand and the right brush it can work for even snow white.  I got both dazzle lipsticks; Sheer Seduction and Calliente; Calliente being my favorite.  If you’re not a fan of sparkle these may not be for you but they are surprisingly comfortable on the lips.  Underdressed lip glass is a must have with the multidimensional glitter in pink and gold. I passed on the others since I felt a lot of those shades were easily dupeable. Bare My Soul Quad was a no brainer; the emerald green is so haute right now I just couldn't pass it up!! I picked up only one PowerChrome eye pencil in Polished Jet and the Prolong WearBronzing Powder in Sun Dipped. The prolong wear bronzing formula is butter soft and got amazing reviews from my fellow blogging beauty addicts! It was a dream to work with! Go and get your glow on at a counter near you!

Summers here and The Temperature's rising!!!  ;0)

You gotta love social media in the sense that there's always something new and fresh to be discovered.  I find more dope products on my timeline then I do reading my favorite mags.  Once again Instagram has led me to a hot kids brand called Milk & Soda.  Based in Australia, Milk & Soda was founded by Leah Nelson and Sam and Dully Lee.  They offer the cutest kid’s accessories like studded beanies, animal print headbands, and LEOPARD PRINT SNEAKERS!!!  I died a million fashion deaths when I saw them.  Check out their site here, and expect lots of oohs and aahs.

Hello Beauties,

This week’s rant is about duty free overseas illusive makeup. On my Adventure to Costa Rica I poked my head in a duty free shop and found L’Oreal’s Volume Million Lashes Excess.  It’s in a sleek red and gold tube that made me do a double take. It retailed for $13 each or the kit for $25.00 which included two mascaras and a kohl liner.  First impressions are an upgraded version of the Loreal Millions lashes in the gold tube. The wear is pretty impressive even in Costa Rica's sweltering heat.  It’s pretty comparable to the gold tube with a little extra oopmh! I really hope this pops up state side at our local drugstores soon!

The other find was a LancĂ´me La Maison Make-UP Palette. This traveler’s exclusive came in an ultra slim black shiny compact embossed with a gold outline of the photo.   The pallet has an overspray on the iconic Eiffel tower and street light. (The overspray will come off with use.)   Tucked on the side are three coordinating eye shadow colors a purple, a pink, and a yellow.  The color payoff was a bit disappointing. If it wasn't for the Eiffel tower, and the Paris themed background, I don't think I would have made the commitment to buy.  I have said this before and I’ll say it a thousand times; for me exclusivity is a must in purchasing higher priced items.  This weekend I put the formula to the test, and in the beginning it did give my cheeks a just pinched look, but as my tan progressed it did get a little ashy looking :0(  So I would highly recommend this for my light to olive skin complexions.

Next week I'll be reviewing the latest MAC collection: Temperature Rising!!

The denim jacket is timeless, classic like the little black dress. As fashion has evolved so has the denim jacket.  Introduced by Levi Strauss in the early 1900's (See History of the denim jacket) it's the one piece of clothing that has never waned in popularity.  If anything it's constantly evolving, in the 60's it was socially conscious, adorned with buttons proclaiming love, not war. In the 70s it got groovy and lost its sleeves, and in the 80s it became a canvas of graffiti enthusiasts and hip hop heads. Dare I say, it’s the one piece of clothing that is universally owned?  My favorite brands for the classic jacket are of course Levi's, and my personal go to brand for all things denim, The Gap.  My advice to you, buy one you love and wear it forever, because it gets even better with age.

Tis gala season! And the Met gala outshines them all.  This year’s theme was Punk in conjunction with the latest costume institute exhibition Punk: Chaos To Couture which runs from May 9- August 14.  Now if you're familiar with this event you know that the attendees go all out, I'm talking high levels of fierce.  But when you think of the era of punk, chiffon and sequins don't come to mind, well unless it’s ripped chiffon and sequins. I was eager to see which celebrities would rock it and which would flop.  Here are a few of my favorites from last night’s event:

Kerry Washington in Vera Wang
Beyonce in Givenchy
Miley Cyrus in Marc Jacobs
Jennifer Lopez in Michael Kors
Emmy Rossum in Donna Karan Atelier
Solange in Kenzo
Jessica Biel in Giambattista Valli
Sienna Miller in Burberry

Colorful leopard print and oversized tiger heads? I'm here for all of that!! I am totally in love with Kenzo's SS 2013 collection, which was inspired by the jungles in Thailand.  Queen B, Beyonce, has even rocked some of the looks on the European stretch of her Mrs. Carter Show tour.  This tote is in conjunction with that collection and features a fun purple and pink leopard print. I love totes, especially during the summer because they are the perfect size for the extras warm weather brings.  You know an extra pair of shoes, an extra set of sunglasses, or an extra pair of undies (things might get spicy!)   It would go great with jeans or a mixed print sheath, if you're feeling funky.   Check it out here
